metric - the value you get depends on how you measure it and there's no
absolute value in quite the same way as there is with...

Surprised that the UAH satellite anomaly figure for October at +0.63C hasn't
been flagged up here. This would seem to be the largest monthly anomaly
outside of the exceptional El Nino spikes of '98...
