Default Maldives website down for a couple of days now.

The school doesn't use TalkTalk but it directs me to this problem when
trying to access that site:

Thread too long to check and probably water under the bridge now, but has
anyone suggested trying Opera as a browser? The built-in VPN might
conceivably help. Could be worth one last try.

Hi John, I'm not sure if this answers that theory, but I have used GetRight download manager for years which I have set for the three main Maldives downloads, this also doesn't work anymore. ALso I tried on four different computers but they all use the same router, beit hardwired or wireless, again none work, included my phone, which I have to switch WiFi off to get to the Maldives website. I can't access this from the schools internet. There is only a handfull of people that I know have the same problem, one in Cardiff and another in Brussels. I think it must be a combination of routing and a dodgy website, as so many fixes have been tried. My brother can access it and he's on Blueyonder.

Yes, the thread has gone viral..

Many thanks everyone.

Just to be clear, it's not any download management features of Opera that
might be relevant, but its ability at least to partially hide the identity
of what's been retrieved. So there's a chance - though only a chance
admittedly - that a download via Opera might escape the attention of
TalkTalk's border routers, if that is indeed what's causing the problem.
