Christmas 2016 - one week out.

ECMWF is bigging up zonality. Yay! Zonal Christmas - must be, oh - almost year since we had one of those.

I'm putting my money on a cold New Year.

[WR] Norfolk

YUK! Everything a not-quite-cold-enough flow off the North Sea brings. Cold, damp, raw, sleet, hail, rain, wind. And probably ice after dark, if there are any clear spells.

WR - Norfolk

We seem to be importing some milder air from the SE. Earlier freezing rain is now just ordinary rain. All a bit dreary really.

Roll on The Atlantic and wash away the slush.

Warming up ?

It's absolutely lovely outside today.

Sure, it's raining on and off, and it's a bit gloomy, but I could have
done my lunchtime training ride in a T-shirt, soft shell waterproof and
shorts.

So...

Well, thank goodness *that's* over

Temperature remains above zero this evening, and the ground continues to
soften as it reappears from underneath the snow.

I'll be quite happy if that's the last we see of snow and ice this
winter,...

Good covering of snow now. The dripping from the trees has stopped too,
