So far today I have recorded 14.2mm rain, nearly all of which fell in
the last hour and a half. This is the highest daily amount since at least the start of September (since I started recording!) and compares with 21.1mm for the whole of September. Currently running at 45.9mm total for September and October. Before today the ground was dry and dusty and beginning to crack in places :-/ At least I know now that my rain gauge works properly (and totals compare favourably with local readings)! -- Jonathan Stott Canterbury Weather: http://www.jstott.me.uk/weather/ |
