Default Current wind & Current Sea Conditions.

This week is a good example, and warning to forecasters, of suggesting the strong wind = big waves

It's very windy here now. On Scilly mean speed well 20mph, gusts 30-40mph, for several hours. Yet, get away from the wind wave, and there's currently no swell - Porthcressa St Marys http://www.thewheelhousescilly.co.uk/beachcam

Forecast for Sennen , https://magicseaweed.com/Sennen-Surf-Report/4/ shows you need to look much further west to find areas of persistent strong winds to judge what the swell is likely to be. Some superb surfing likely Tues /Weds under offshore winds & warm (for October) sunshine. It's very rare for Magic Seaweed to give the surf a 5* rating.

The sea conditions along the north coast will be rough this afternoon, but a complete lack of any powerful waves, they arrive Wednesday.

Looks like there won't be too much rain here, the heavy stuff's to the east, just that cold wind.

Talking of surf, I always think you have to be a supreme optimistic to be a surfer in Bournemouth

Dry since 09:30, but that NNE wind is strong & cold - & it looks it
https://www.atlanticcottageholidays....m-sennen-cove/

No particularly strong gusts (the highest I've seen locally is 41 knots at St Ives) but it's steady blast.

The rain cleared in plenty of time for the Flying Scotsman's arrival in Penzance

Good dangler has developed today - but the flow is veered so that it won't come on shore anywhere.

Just brushing past Scilly,

Not to bad in relatively sheltered Penzance.
