That's a very long way out of my comfort zone and the sooner we get the Atlantic air back in the better, as far as I am concerned. There's some classic Cb anvils visible far to the NE but, unfortunately, they're receding. -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. https://peakdistrictweather.org Twitter: @TideswellWeathr |

Just very warm of late with temperature in the low to mid 20s, plenty warm enough. SST topped 20C at Perranporth Buoy and Sevenstones today. It was 22C a couple of feet under the surface in 5' of water at Perranuthnoe this morning, according to my pebble weighted thermometer. Positively tepid. A lot of comparisons between 1976 & 2018 lately, I thought was interesting https://cdn.images.express.co.uk/img...=1532511370855 Graham Penzance |

Very impressive Cb buildup visible from my office window. Looks like we'll miss it all, though, so it's back to watering the turf that we had laid recently :-( -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. https://peakdistrictweather.org Twitter: @TideswellWeathr |

The storms seem to be moving north at a pretty rapid rate. Graham Penzance |
