RMK: Strong sunshine. It feels much warmer and more
humid than at this time yesterday.

0900z 12003kt 20km 2Ac150 22.7/15.3 1014
RMK: Spells of strong sunshine though the atmosphere
is a bit more hazy than on recent days. It's much
hotter than yesterday.
09-09z: Tx 26.9 (1630z) Tn 13.9 (0445z) RR nil
18-09z: Tg 10.3 00-24z: Sun 10.2

1600z 17009kt 30km 1Cb030 4Cu050 29.2/16.4 1009
RMK: With a max of 30.3° it's the hottest day of the
year so far. That's a very long way out of my comfort
zone and the sooner we get the Atlantic air back in
the better, as far as I am concerned. There's some
classic Cb anvils visible far to the NE but,
unfortunately, they're receding.

The only really hot weather here was late June / early July when there was an easterly drift, even at Lands End it was hot
http://www.turnstone-cottage.co.uk/LET.html Something which may recur in a weeks time according to the models. Just very warm of late with temperature in the low to mid 20s, plenty warm enough.

SST topped 20C at Perranporth Buoy and Sevenstones today. It was 22C a couple of feet under the surface in 5' of water at Perranuthnoe this morning, according to my pebble weighted thermometer. Positively tepid.

A lot of comparisons between 1976 & 2018 lately, I thought was interesting
