With a mean monthly temperature of 16.7C (1.6C above average), you may be surprised to hear that this June has not been quite as warm as June last year!
However, this has still been one of the warmest June months in the city on record. Apart from June 2017, this has been the warmest June in Coventry since 2006 (17.0ºC); only three June months have been warmer than June 2018 since records began in Coventry in 1892. Here is a list of the warmest June months in Coventry since 1892: Warmest Junes on record 17.0C 2006 16.8C 2003, 2017 16.7C 1893, 1976, 1992, 2018 16.6C 1950 16.5C 1896, 1970 Last month was the warmest May in Coventry since 1992, so with a warm June to follow, this has been the warmest May/June two month spell (15.3C) in Coventry since 1992 (15.5C).
