I knew it was marginal and experience has told me it could be slightly
out. Usually in the snow being rain direction :-( You are right about
the forecast, certainly from a BBC TV point of view though. At 10.15pm
they were predicting rain from a line south of the M4 and all of London
and Essex. Also was throwing out temps of 5-6C. In the event that small
change did give rain turning to snow at 8.00 am and then snow till late
afternoon leading to a 6cm covering with temps hovering just below 1C.
The night was frost free and a slow thaw took place with higher dew points.
