I was surprised this morning to hear the R4 forecaster give a story of
all of England and Wales having a wet day with the rain heavy in places. Here in Margate it has been dry with even a few sunny intervals and very mild at around 14 degs. Whilst there is a broad frontal zone I suspect that the model was giving its' usual 'spotty high' over the south and the forecaster was taking it literally. Still, a poor forecast for anybody who cancelled any outdoor event. |

Very mirky over the hills, but bright, dry with glimpses of the sun near sea level. Graham Penzance |
