I carefully checked the forecast for London last night. There was an amber warning for snow in the Midlands and a mention of possible snow in the Chilterns. There was no warning for London, and the SE forecast was for rain. Now I look out and it is snowing with ominous radar and low temperatures to the west. Furthermore the automated forecast which yesterday also showed rain and temperatures in the 3-5 range in London now shows 0-1.
I'm not complaining. I like snow. But curious as to why they got it so wrong in such a short space of time. Hampstead London 98 m ASL |
