now a torrid 17.9C, sun breaking through and so into the garden to rescue
the hollyhocks and phlox thats had a bit of a hammering

Still chilly here, Nick, with low WBPT air. Dew points at East Midlands and
Leeds have been as low as 3 degC, now hovering around 5 degC, compared to
your 14 degC. This is the reason for your warmer day and these are due to
increase over the next 24-48hrs.

Here in Exeter the max so far has been 18.5C, yesterday reached 19.5C. It's
been pretty dull most of the day and has just started raining, currently
17.4C,
