Calm down dear, it's only a commercial. Anyone going to the street
party?

Stuff like this is just flag waving. It can get a few bulls charging
around China's shops and make the Yanks a little uncomfortable.
But it isn't there to "do" anything. So what is he tabling it for? By
that I mean: what has Alistair Campbell wound Tony B.Liar up to say and
for what hidden agenda?

though.)

The answer is NO I am not.

This topic makes me apoplectic with rage.
The only sensible remark that I have heard in recent months came from John
Howard, Australian PM in mid February when the Kyoto agreement came into
force.
As one might expect the Australian environmental lobby brought it up as
to why Australia was not part of it and John Howard's reply was.
"An agreement like this is not worth the paper it is written on as long
as China and India are exempt from it". When I heard this I thought bravo,
well done. You would never hear this from the politically correct Euro
rabble we have here in Britain and Europe.
Doesn't anyone have any idea as to the human and industrial capacity
that these two countries have? Come on don't you? For Christ's sake use
your brains!
China alone has a workforce of 700 million. It is industrialising at a
rate of 10 per-cent per annum. In 15 years time they will be using more oil
than the US. By virtue of the population of China when they reach a GDP per
capita of just half that of America they will be using twice as much oil as
America. Why? Because their population is 4 times higher?
There are other factors of course.
There is also much more to consider. I have not even mentioned India.
Don't babble on about what we in Europe can do about global warming. The
answer is sod all.
If every man woman and child turned off every light, car, factory, power
station and grounded every plane in Europe. The quantity of CO2 would still
increase by virtue of the industrial activity going on in China and India.
The population of these two countries is now 2.4 billion, yes 2.4 billion.
That is 8 times that of Europe. It is much more than that of Europe, the
USA, Canada, Latin America and Africa put together.
For Christ's sake get real will you?

Gavin.

But the USA is producing more CO2 than India and China put together.
If Australia is right in not signing until India and China sign, aren't they
right to say they won't sign until the USA does?

For Christ's sake get real will you?

Everybody can now see that global warming is happening, and if we
do nothing it will get even worse. You really need to calm down and
start thinking clearly. You are the one who should get real!

Cheers, Alastair.

What exactly has got worse?
Gulf stream to shut down
Deadly heat waves in the UK this summer
Antarctic ice cap thickens
Antarctic interior cools
Sea levels to rise
Sea level to off-set by the above.
upper atmosphere cooling
lower warming
Labour Party increase prosperity
Labour Party tax to high heaven those that actually go to work
So it goes on a miserable mantra of self flagellation for all-well those
that actually work.
Remember the quality of the Labour Party's last minister for the
environment,Michael -6 houses-Meacher. He actually was quoted as saying El
Nino was a hurricane! Margaret Beckett's tnow he new person in the ermm..hot
seat. very quiet though.
