I am setting up a new station where can I find a web site that will give me,
my feet above sea level please

Go to the Ordnance Survey website http://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/oswebsite/
Look for the 'Get a map' window, put in your location, press 'go' and map
will appear. Then look for the increase scale symbol '+' and you will
eventually get a 1:25000 map. As long as you can recognise where you live
you can then work out height asl by interpolation of the contours.

Websites which claim to work out height asl are not terribly helpful as they
seem to default to the bottom left hand corner of a 1km grid square. OK if
you live in the Fens I suppose but otherwise....
