The forecast charts suggest winds from a warm direction all week, an
extreme returning form of a polar airmass which has tracked well south over France and even Spain. This sounds similar to weather I experienced in Seattle on August 18th, when temps in the 25-30 range were experienced. This setup in summer has occurred here before too, and 25c is fairly typical. Why then does the Met Office forecast a combination of sunshine and below-average temps (20c in the southwest, 21c at Gatwick) for Thursday? Nick |

Nick Countryfile was going for 25C in the SE at least all week. |
