Default [WR] surprisingly windy, central lowlands

Not a gale or anything like it. But a rare stiff breeze from the north
blowing here.
Usually afforded great shelter from the highlands here - but not today. Must
be some kind of lee effect?
Also some light wintry showers lagging behind the clouds - giving the
impression that it's falling from blue skies.
Alex.

Interesting. It is flat calm here. The birch tree outside my window is
motionless and the snow is falling vertically. So your stiff breeze isn't
coming through here.

The wind has eased back here slightly, and now has an easterly component.
This is sufficient for us to start gaining snow showers from the North sea.
I image there's a lot more to come if the NE'ly keeps up.

No wind to speak of here Alex just light steady snow, rather unexpected this
morning. My snowman is now 1 week old.
