Default [WR] Horrible & wet in NE England

A wet night (for us) gave 29.6mm for the 24hr up to 09Z this morning.
This is the wettest 09Z - 09Z period for 2003 so far. Now thick fog,
wet, mild and horrible. We're not used to heavy rain around here and I
can not stand the stuff.

My least favourite weather, yuk.

Wet up here as well, my (not to be trusted very much) gauge clicked up
21mm from 0001 1st Dec to now. Also a bit blowy, F6 gusting to 35mph,
not a nice evening or night to be out last night.

Now thick fog, wet, mild and horrible.

Yeah in and out of the hill fog all morning. Very damp but nearly 8C
so not as awful as it is when the temp is just above 0C. Mild and damp
is not as 'orrible as cold and damp. Bring on the sub zero stuff to
freeze out all this yukky damp. Of course 21mm of rain is about 10" of
snow and with last nights wind would have produced some big drifts.
B-)

In a break from the rain, I managed to take this photo of the new 'Blinking
Eye' bridge in Newcastle tonight.
