Graham Your max temp yesterday Graham was 1.5c higher than Rostherne in low lying north Cheshire (nearest official weather station to where I am)! Tideswell was considerably warmer still (22.9c) and Buxton reached 22.4c. We were just to the west and north west of the warmest zone. But today it is different. As is so often the case with an easterly or north easterly like there is today, we are benefiting from sheltering effects of the Pennines. It has been a dry and bright day with decent spells of hazy sunshine and broken cloud. The wind is cool but not at all strong and the max temperature will probably end up at about or near a near seasonal normal 12c. Peter Nockles Didsbury south Manchester |

Yes Peter was hoping for a temperature around 12c today but the sun didnt break through until after 16.00, so it stayed on the cold side. Current temp is 8.2c Graham |
