Current Meteosat images show the slowly retreating stratus over southern Britain very nicely and the sharp contrast between overcast conditions and what looks like continuous sunshine to the north. If you all came over to the weather and climate forum I'd be able to just insert the image!.... ENE drift over Wales revealed by the clearance towards Cardigan Bay too.
