The JJA data is the highest by 0.01 degC The D-J data isn't the highest on record The D-N data is the highest by 0.01 degC Fully one-half of the monthly data is not the highest on record. The news of the warmest year on record has been greatly exaggerated. -- Spike |

GISS December2020 not the warmest year on record.
One of the most amusing posts I've read on here for some time. It makes me think of a political analogy - if party A winds a general election by a landslide, it is like pointing out that some people voted for party B.

There has also been some surprising records already this January this week for warmth: in Malta 25.8°C, northern Turkey 31.6°C and Sochi (Russia) 24°C on the 13th. Keith (Southend) |
