and I quote
"A band of cloud and showery rain will move eastwards across the region today with some heavy bursts at times. It should then brighten up from the west, with sunny spells developing, but also the odd shower. " Well, looking at the radar it's already cleared almost the whole of Cornwall & Devon. Anybody getting up in Cornwall this would have expected rain to set in shortly based on that forecast. I would have thought the description should read. "After early rain in the east of the region, a mainly dry day with sunny spells will follow, perhaps the odd shower" then the important bit. "Still a small wave, but should be fairly clean on the north coasts with mainly offshore winds. Generally 2-3' but up to 4' in the far west." Graham Penzance (dry since dawn, sunny spells) |
