No, not a '90s boy band, the weather in Penzance for much too long now!

I recorded 223.2mm in November (I'm just 19m amsl). At least the thunder strong winds & big seas made it interesting.
The last 9 days rainfall in mm:-
26/11 9.7
27/11 18.9
28/11 15.8
29/11 5.1
30/11 14.8
01/12 9.1
02/12 4.6
03/12 0.6 With some sunshine!!
04/12 11.1
Currently chucking it down. With the weather arriving from the SW I see little hope of respite for quite a while, perhaps a brief respite Monday/Tuesday. It might just get colder if the SW ends up as some sort of battleground in the lead up to Christmas.

A relatively small swell currently, the last big swell has died now. However, with a prolonged period of strong to gale westerly conditions across the Atlantic, at a fairly low latitude for a few days, the biggest swell of the Autumn/Winter so far is forecast for Sunday. The swell is forecast to peak at 27' at Sennen. https://magicseaweed.com/Sennen-Surf-Report/4/

Great surfing predicted for next Monday when there is forecast to be little wind, the maximum 5 stars on MagicSeaweed

A rare glimpse of the sun at Perranuthnoe 30/11

Had 172.6 mm here in Nov. Graham.
152% of 30 yr average.
The pendulum has swung after 5 drier than average months.

Long range forecast for precipitation is undecided.
The polar vortex is wobbling atm so anything could happen.
Interesting as always. Coldies ramping it up of course.

Yes, the models are struggling at the moment for anything 5 days ahead.

Makes it more interesting, really accurate forecasts would make life so dull!

.. . and it continues
05/12 11.5
06/12 18.0

Just had a very heavy squally shower (gusts to 40mph in Penzance) with hail.
At least it's sunny in between, and some lovely Cb anvils.

perhaps a brief respite Monday/Tuesday

Might struggle to last Tuesday

Not far off my annual 30 year average which is 1296 mm.
Total for 2018 to date is 1277 mm.
Looks like it will beat the average easily by the end of the month.
