Cloudy at first late Tuesday afternoon, then clear periods during the evening (with some mist and fog patches), with cloud from the next system arriving mid-evening. Cloudy thereafter. Surface wind WSW F3 becoming calm or light and variable by dusk, then E-ESE F2 by late evening. Dry until around midnight, then moderate rain with the odd heavy burst, accompanied by drizzle after 0500z. Warm front through around 0530z. Currently there is extensive low cloud (although not as low as yesterday) and poor visibility in heavy rain and drizzle. Surface wind is a light easterly drift - although the lowest of the stratus is whizzing past from south to north. Looks like the warm air has not completely mixed down to the valley floor yet. A wet 24 hours, the monthly total has reached 200 mm.

Mild damp and drizzly. Heavy precipitation rapidly moderated to slight by 0920z, and has been slight and sporadic since. Still plenty of stratus around, but the base is higher than earlier. Moderate visibility. Surface wind has veered SSE'ly and increased to F2-3.

A coudy and damp afternoon. Rain and drizzle became moderate to heavy soon after 1200z, culminating with a short burst to 106 mm/hr (and an hourly total of 9.6 mm) just after 1300z as the cold front went through. Shortly after the cold front passage the precipitation rate eased off to slight and intermittent, and the precipitation type was solely rain. There has been intermittent slight rain since then, along with improved visibility and cloudbase. The surface wind veered SSW'ly on the cold front and picked up to F4-5. Currently it is dry with some breaks in the stratocumulus, moderate visibility and a gusty F5 SSW'ly. Maximum temperature so far today is 13.8 (1146z) - the warmest day of the month so far.
