0700z: Calm 150m Fog 1SC050 5CI250 9.3/8.6 QFF 1017.9 rising.
SYNOP: 41701 50000 10093 20086 40179 52020 74644 81501 333 81650 85075= Cloudy late Tuesday afternoon, but with some sunny intervals around 1600z. Cloud thickened from mid evening, with slight rain starting around 2200z, becoming moderate for a couple of hours from 2330z before petering out by 0200z. Cold front through at 0130z. Cloud began to break up after 0400z, and it quickly became foggy - radiation fog this time - which has continued to thicken, although the sky is still visible above. Currently foggy with 150 metres visibility, a trace of stratocumulus visible to the east, with thin cirrus above. 0900z: Calm 12km 1SC050 6CI250 10.9/10.3 QFF 1018.7 rising.
SYNOP: 41762 60000 10109 20103 40187 52014 72842 81502 333 81650 86075= Fog cleared shortly after 0800z. There was a small amount of stratus on the valley sides whilst it was clearing, but that has since dispersed to leave a small amount of high-based stratocumulus with dense cirrus above. SYNOP: 42568 73602 10168 20102 40200 52006 82802 333 82825 86075= Local convection started around 1100z, and there have been small amounts of convective cloud since then. Large amounts of occasionally dense cirrus above. Good visibility. Light northerly drift.
