[OBS] Ystrad, Rhondda - Fri 12 Oct 2018
0700z: 13007KT 3500m Heavy rain and drizzle 7ST008 8SC015 14.4/13.3 QFF 1002.2 rising.
SYNOP: 41335 81307 10144 20133 40022 52009 75965 885// 333 87708 88615= Partly cloudy with sunny intervals late Thursday afternoon. Clear periods during the early evening, then becoming cloudy again. Light winds overnight - initially southwesterly, then backing southeasterly. A few slight rain showers late Thursday afternoon. Dry evening and first part of the night. Rain started around 0100z, slight at first but became persistent and heavy by 0230z, peaking at 26 mm/hr at 0450z. Precipitation has been rain and drizzle since then, mainly moderate but with short heavy periods. There has been 25.6 mm in the past five hours. Currently there is heavy rain and drizzle, poor visibility and a light southeasterly breeze.
