A minimum of 18.6C last night, the 4th warmest in my 27 year record.
A bright morning, with a fairly thin cover of medium / high level frontal cloud. Faint shadows much of the time. Some lower cloud now, especially inland. A few photos from this morning at Land's End, showing just how brown & colourless the cliffs are. I would say it's the driest the landscape has looked in the far SW since 1989. http://www.turnstone-cottage.co.uk/LE.html Graham Penzance |

It's getting blustery now though, but also it should rain soon. There was very little wind when I was at Lands End this morning, it's now gusting 30mph in exposed spots. Graham Penzance |

You're wishing the summer away Graham. Len |

Even so, a few cloudier days would be good, as it means I can park at Sennen whilst the softer element of the bucket & spade brigade enjoy M&S. Somehow it's more fun bodyboarding when the weather's a bit more iffy, there's more of a wave, and it's all much quieter. Graham Penzance |

Graham Penzance There did n't seem many people around for August bank holiday Monday at Lands End. I bet it looks greener today 28th August after the passage of that front. http://www.turnstone-cottage.co.uk/LE.html ;-) Len |

Just 1 of the benefits of owning a Tardis. At least you now know that August is set to be hot & dry. Graham |
