A cloudy night and first part of the morning, but the layers have started to thin and fragment and we now have some sunshine. Local convection started around an hour ago. Very good visibility, and light southerly winds.

Cold front through at 1225z, with a good wind veer and temperature drop - but a small rise in dew point. Occasional slight rain over the past three hours - briefly moderate for a minute or two - and accompanied by drizzle at times, dying out around 1445z. Cloudy since 1200z, but the medium layers are breaking from the south west now, revealing some dense cirrus above. Convective cloud dispersed at times during the rain, but is currently developing again. Reasonable visibility throughout, now improved to excellent. Maximum temperature so far today is 23.3 (1111z).
