Default Likely to be 10C warmer today in parts of Cornwall

Along much of the N Cornwall coast it struggled to get above 10C yesterday in the sea fog. (9.7C max at St Ives for instance)

Today, with the wind offshore, it'll be near 20C, even on the beach near Lands End https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/...ate=2018-04-21

Though, contrary to the forecast above, the sharp rise in temperature will not take place until the wind swings offshore around noon, and I'm not sure that the sea condition is slight, https://magicseaweed.com/Live-Sennen-Webcam/65/ . Still lumpy with a decent swell.

It's strange to me that the sea conditions seemed to be based on wind strength/direction & little else Whilst the forecast temperature on the beach varies not at all as the wind swings offshore, away from the 11C SST. At this time of year it makes a huge difference. Still mustn't moan.

On the south coast here in Penzance, there will be little change. 17C yesterday, probably around 18C, perhaps 19C, today.

Importantly it's sunny.

It is indeed 10C warmer than yesterday along the north coast, now widely 20C, 21C at Newuay currently. St Ives 9C @15:00 yesterday, 20C at the same time today. Rather a noticeable difference!

The wind at Sennen veered from an onshore NE to an very light offshore SE around 11:00, and the temperature shot up between 11:00 & 12:00 to 20C or so.. (Peak temperature at Lands End was at 12:09). Then the south coast sea breeze from the Porthcurno/Lamorna area made it across and the offshore breeze picked up noticeably, as can be seen in the flags in the photos. The temperature then dipped a bit as a result.

On the south coast here in Penzance, there will be little change. 17C yesterday, probably around 18C, perhaps 19C, today.

Actually 19.6C max so far, but may rise further (currently 15:20). Bo a bit above my forecast.
