After a fairly sunny morning yesterday, rain arrived mid afternoon, finally clearing around 09:00 today. This resulted in another 13.4mm, adding yet more to what already was a very wet month.

However, it has not been a dull month here, partly down to luck (the recent fronts seem to have been largely nightime affairs) and partly down to the cold sea suppressing convection. It surpassed last years March sunshine a few days ago.

Todays cold sector has been something of a surprise, Basically no Cu development, even over the moors behind Penzance, as demonstrated by the sunshine data at Bosullow, right on the top of the Moors http://www.sunrecorder.net/googlemap...serial=1010 1
The only cloud over the nearby moors 12:00 - 16:00 was lenticular in nature..

The temperature has reached 12.1C despite a distinctly blustery breeze, gusting to 32mph even in Penzance, where it's offshore. Despite the wind it's felt a fair bit warmer than in Sunday's prolonged sunshine, when the temperature was similar (max 11.9C). That basically down to the higher humidity.
