Well after yesterday mornings sunshine, 5C and amber alert, followed by an afternoon of wet snow giving a temporary cover of 1cm on lawns late yesterday afternoon, the amber alert ended in the evening. This means today we woke up to a proper snow cover of 2cm on all surfaces, except paths & roads, where it melted from below due to yesterday’s sunshine. Still icy out of town though, so many schools have delayed opening. Brilliant, after so many places shut yesterday due to the warnings. At least people got the chance to walk on the prom in light winds and sunshine.
