A cloudy 24 hours. Rain started just after 1200z Friday, and has only just ceased - although there were a few short-lived drier spells between 0500z and 0900z. Last night the temperature rose steadily from a low of just under 6 late Friday afternoon to a maximum of 10.1 around 12 hours later.
Rainfall total was 37.8 mm for the 24 hours to 0900z. I guess I'm going to have to get used to rain totals of this magnitude. I was at my Hyssington site for 14 months, and the most I recorded in 24 hours was 15 mm! Thinking back, I haven't recorded this much since 2012 when I was at my Bayston Hill site.

Cloudy with moderate or heavy rain at first, easing off to slight by 1400z, and stopping by 1415z. Cloud started to break shortly afterwards and there have been sunny intervals for the last half an hour. Cold front through at 1300z, denoted by a drop in dewpoint and a marked wind veer. Low cloud cleared shortly after this. Currently variable amounts of fast-moving convective cloud, sunny intervals and a moderate southwesterly breeze. Max temperature so far today is 11.1 (1458z).
