Default Penzance gales rain coastal flooding trees down

Well, it makes a change from snow I suppose!

Snow turned to rain just before midnight. That, combined with an easterly gale, rain, and the temperature reaching 3.1C has resulted in 50% snow cover by 09:00. I was quite surprised given the amount of snow we had, most of which fell during 28th, when that convergence zone gave really heavy snow. Yesterday’s snow was generally moderate, and never accumulated at the rate it did on Wednesday, which was the big snow event here.

Winds an issue. Some coastal flooding nearby, but not much, as far as I’m aware. It did gust 60mph at lands end and there are some trees down.

I am posting this on the iPad as with the wind and snow, being at the end of the Uk power supply the PCs not happy.

Flooding issues in Cornwall may have been fairly minor, but the railway line was affected on the approach to Penzance. Also flooding reports here, due to big tides & seas & snow melt https://www.cornwalllive.com/news/co...h-tide-1285995

Also more damage at Dawlish. So virtually no trains in Cornwall again today, but for a different reason.

Temperature's dropped back to 1C and it's starting to turn back to snow.

Eventful or what!
