Well, it makes a change from snow I suppose!
Snow turned to rain just before midnight. That, combined with an easterly gale, rain, and the temperature reaching 3.1C has resulted in 50% snow cover by 09:00. I was quite surprised given the amount of snow we had, most of which fell during 28th, when that convergence zone gave really heavy snow. Yesterday’s snow was generally moderate, and never accumulated at the rate it did on Wednesday, which was the big snow event here. Winds an issue. Some coastal flooding nearby, but not much, as far as I’m aware. It did gust 60mph at lands end and there are some trees down. |
