I might have rather understated yesterdays sunshine in my last post, as there was 8 hours and 17 minutes of sun even over the moors, so probably near 9 hours in Penzance, away from the fair weather small Cu.
A fairly clear quiet night has given the thickest ground frost of the winter. Air Min 0.0C. Previous 'white' conditions down to a layer of frozen snow pellets & hail early in the month. Cloud running westwards just offshore currently. Will that flow bring some snow into the far SW in a few days? Anyway, for today a bright crisp & sunny start, though no longer the sharp visibility. The easterly aspect is now dulling the light & reducing the contrast. http://www.sennen-cove.com/index.htm Very hazy washed out colours compared to the last few days. I used to miss the clarity of true maritime air even living in the SE England for a while. Well worth putting up with all the winter mizzle for. Graham Penzance |
