1200z: 26012KT 50km 1SC040 6CI250 2.1/0.0 QFF 1013.9 falling.
SYNOP: 11684 62612 10021 20000 40139 58002 69901 70371 81504 333 46001 81640 86075= Around 1045z there was a brief flurry of snowflakes from a sky that just contained less than half cover of cirrus. Looking at the radar at that time, the nearest precipitation was 20km away to the westnorthwest. I'm assuming the flakes originated from here. Excellent visibility this morning, with only small amounts of convective cloud overlain by increasing and thickening cirrus. The lying snow has started to slowly melt and is currently covering around 80% of the ground. -- Freddie Fishpool Farm Hyssington Powys 296m AMSL http://www.fishpoolfarmweather.co.uk/ https://twitter.com/FishpoolFarmWx for hourly reports |
