into the early shours then died out as the wind turned
more northerly. Very little fresh accumulation. There's
4 cm of lying snow that's frozen rock-hard this morning.
Untreated roads are icy.

hard frozen snow on the ground. Local roads are very bad with
a mix of ice and patches of hard frozen slush.

RMK: A dry day with sunny periods but with a biting breeze.
The slow thaw has continued and we are now down to 3 cm of
lying snow with about a 75% cover. Despite the thaw, getting
about the village is still very hazardous due to stretches
of thick frozen slush. When the surface of this gets a film
of water on it during the day it becomes lethal.
