The weather this morning on a site visit (near Sidmouth on the normally
tropical climes of the south Devon coast), the weather was what I can only describe as very unpleasant. There was a 20 to 30 mph wind, a temperature of around 3C and horizontal (mainly light) rain. The wind chill was numbing. Thankfully weather like that rarely happens here. Then, quite suddenly there was a sharp clearance late morning to crystal clear blue skies and sunshine. Mind you, it didn't warm things up much but the wind dropped out and with the warmth of the sun, things became a good deal more clement. A maximum of just 5.1C today made it the coldest day since the 11th February (3.3C) and the 3rd coldest day this year so far. Going to be a frost tonight.
