Not a nice day weatherwise. The locals were complaining about the cold
feel of the day and I had to agree. On a site visit this morning to Hemyock and the warmth seemed to be sucked from you adding to the raw/dampness of the day despite the sunshine, many layers of clothing and not actually that cold a temperature (but high humidity). Still, it was the coldest maximum of the month at only 5.8C after a minimum of 0.9C. Not a flake of the white stuff has been seen yet, then again the temperature and DPs just haven't got low enough; good. Even with this recent cold the month is still above my estimated LTA but quickly getting nearer to average: (1st - 21st) Mean minimum = 3.6C Mean maximum = 10.6C Mean = 7.1C Rain = 66 mm Sunshine = 72 hours -- Nick Gardner Otter Valley, Devon 20 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |
