To the meteociel graphic designer, those 3 dots looked like a string of light emitting diodes, and diodes got in the text rather than LEDs Yes, I thought it was probably something like that. The dots look like LEDs so the writer calls them "diodes". In French, DEL is also used as well as LED (= diode électroluminescente).
