Agreed.

Next weekend looks interesting according to GFS 00Z run, though not for
UK, as a low of ~960hPa slides SE into Biscay. Rather deep.

Having said all of that I would say, from Monday on, we could be in for
the longest period of prolonged cool weather in the South this winter.
Damned by faint praise I know but that does at least increase the risk
of a surprise snowfall, which would be the first for three years.

From the GFS there may be a chance of some snow next weekend and into
the first couple of days of March. Hopefully March will not be wintry
like three years ago. I didn’t go to the SVR steam Gala 2013. There was
8 inches of snow and blizzard blowing.
