Default Mainly Sunny & not Windy!

The cold front, which was an extremely weak, diffuse sort of affair, cleared the low cloud by 08:00. Since then sunny periods, though still some patchy thin high cloud.

VG visibility, I think Dave C went to Scilly a week early! http://www.scillyman.co.uk/Lowertown_Cam.html

A minimum of 12.2C made it the warmest night since 2/11/14.

A very gentle sort of day.

A day of sunny periods though cloud has streamed in during the last hour or so. Maximum of 16.7C here, 17.1C on St.Martin's - Scilly, 17.6C on The Island St Ives on the offshore coast.

The UV hit 7.8 on Scilly, the highest this year so far. Also some very good surfing conditions today. Wave height around 10' at Sevenstones this afternoon.

With the onshore breeze SST now around 13C in Mount's Bay (12.8C at the Penzance buoy, exactly the same at Porthleven http://www.channelcoast.org/data_man...rts/?chart=107

Here at the other end of the country, near Dundee, it is mainly windy and not sunny.

I am fed up with this wind. It's unpleasant enough in winter, but in May I despair.

Same here, the wretched WSW's straight off the hills. Gusting only to
50mph but but seems non-stop. At least we're in the rain shadow here.

Likewise here in the far north. Two days of it now, young plant growth
damaged, new leaves shredded and it's B***** cold. Still, only another
five weeks and the nights will start to draw in for Christmas.

Different world down here on Dartmoor. Lovely sunshine with temperatures a
warm 12-16C and only F3-5 with a wee bit of rain overnights. Garden growing
well. Just sown the runner beans in pots, so hopefully an early crop this
year!

Obviously tough up north!

Still, I can cope http://mounthaven.co.uk/webcam/ Unbroken sunshine on west facing coasts today since around 08:00. http://mounthaven.co.uk/webcam/

F3 breeze generally, max of 16.2C in Penzance.

Bit of an easterly & much more cloud seems likely for Cornwall tomorrow, so a bit of a change in fortunes seems likely.
