High pressure set to stay.
**Forecast: on Thursday 14th March 2014 the UK's weather will still be dominated by high pressure. For most areas, the weather will be settled, with light winds and plenty of sunshine and days will be relatively warm for many.. It is more likely that the NW of Scotland will be becoming increasingly exposed to Atlantic air and rain may well be encroaching there, but many in the UK will be enjoying continuing fine spring weather.** Enjoy! |

Congratulations, that is a better forecast and far clearer. The mere addition of "out to" makes it clear and understandable. The grammar could have been improved with "the" replacing "on", and clarity could be improved in the text by stating the forecast is for the period until, but all in all a much better effort. I knew you could do it, thanks for taking on board my comments. Friends again? |

Congratulations, that is a better forecast. Oh, thank you; I'm so pleased. I'd just like to point out that how good a forecast is can't actually be determined on the day it is made. That is a misconception that is rife on newsgroups and on web forums. Do come back on the forecast outcome date, won't you and say whether the forecast is "good", or not. PS I wasn't aware we'd ever been "friends". I choose my Internet friends very carefully and I'm loyal to them, because they deserve it. |

I think you are confusing 'good forecast' which is well written, concise and unambiguous with 'accurate forecast' which contains a prediction that ultimately proves accurate. I certainly am not. |

I choose my Internet friends very carefully and I'm loyal to them, because they deserve it. Just trying out a new theory, which worked, as you weren't overtly critical or abusive. But, as forecast, you changed the language in your forecast which has made it clearer and in doing so admitted that the previous one wasn't. I'm also not interested in whether it's a good forecast that the models forecast, or not, merely that it is clear about the period it covers, which it is, thanks to me giving you a little advice. Don't worry, not interested in friendship with you, just a little sarcasm injection. |
