Default Wanstead: first daffodil

First daff out in my Wanstead garden. That's 20 days earlier than last year.. I realise they've been out for weeks elsewhere but I find watching the same daff year in, year out gives an indicator on soil temp, weather etc. At the Amateur Met conference last year a Woodland Trust presentation showed how somebody had written the date of their first daff on their garden shed, stretching back a number of years.
