We finally clambered out of fog locally at 1305Z but it's still sitting
there to the northwest, shrouding stretches of the River Test with
only one hour left until sunset.

On a trip to Winchester early this afternoon, the car thermometer
registered +10C in places but we've only just nosed past +7C here
and beside the river it was +4C (at 1345Z). The visibility east and
south of Romsey is in the order of 10 to 15km but only 2800m to
the nearest fog patch, northwest of here.
