Yes, I would have thought it was worth at least a basic "be aware" type just to let the public know that you were watching the situation, and to cover your arse if some flash floods turned up!
I notice as I write another pulse brewing up in mid-Channel on the weather radar that looks to have West Devon written all over it! Bruce. |

I, too, am puzzled by the lack of any sort of warning; but the Met Office can't win. Let's face it, if even just an alert had been issued then somebody who just missed the torrential rain would be bound to complain that it was unnecessary.
