A maximum today of 27.2°C beating yesterday by 2.3°C.
11.2 hours of unbroken sunshine all day way though there was fog in the adjacent valleys until mid-morning. Today was the warmest day since the 3rd August (27.7°C), which is also the warmest day of the year so far. A 'cool' night compared to recent with a minimum of 13.2°C making it the lowest temperature since the 24th with 11.3°C. September mean temperature now at 16.1°C, that's just slightly below the mean for this July (16.5°C) & August (16.3°C), and way above the mean for June (14.8°C). This September will end up being the warmest since September 2006 (16.7°C).
