Default A poor forecast I'm afraid.

I hate to criticise but the forecast and the graphics on the News 24
clearly showed and it was said that there was a clearance of cloud amd
rain south eastwards. This is true of the rain but the IR and Vis Sat
Pics clearly show that the cloud is in fact spreading S.E to NW and
will soon be over the Midlands at this rate. Why oh why don't the
presenters look at these readily available images.

Didn't someone once mention here that, though the forecasts on News 24
are hourly and appear to be live, they are actually mostly recorded and
only updated a few times a day? So depending on which forecast you saw,
it might well have been made five hours before you watched it.

Quite possibly although it was about 10 a.m I think and I would have
thought someone would look at the sat pics and allow an edit. I don't
think the vague graphics drifting around representing cloud help either
- they seem to come and go while they are talking.
