Not a bad ol' day 'ere in this part of Devon. A brisk, quite cold wind kept
temperatures well down despite the sunshine. A maximum of only 13.5°C after
a very chilly start with a minimum of just 2.6°C.

There was a grass frost with a min of -0.5°C. Doesn't seem to have done any
damage to me spuds down on the allotment. Quite a few plots with runners
doing OK, a bit risky methinks this week. I would normally have my runners
in by now but something tells me to hold on another week just in case we get
a (very) late frost.

Haven't had a frost in May yet, but it was only a couple of weeks since we
had that rather late frost in April (on the 21st with -1.2°C) and after that
cold winter..... who knows!

Low humidity today is drying everything up very quickly, it's nearly as if
the rain of the last couple of days hadn't happened.
