...........the Azores high? I've been looking but I just can't find it.
No sign on the 5-day FAX charts; no sign on the 16-day gfs charts and
there's only its ghost on the T+240 ECM chart.

To where do large Atlantic high pressure regions go on holiday?

A postcard would be nice. *)) Spring would be even better! *))

It's probably gone to see the Winter Olympics! It would explain the
lack of snow ;-)

You'll find the postcard comes from the north pole... Where there is 24
hours of darkness just now, so it won't be much of a picture.

Well quite a few GFS runs have suggested something vaguely better at
the start of March, in two weeks' time. Yes, still a long way ahead
but at least there's some hope of not being subjected to a spell of
weather as long lasting as that of November and early December...
