Lovely winter sunshine with a couple of cm of new snow from overnight
up in north Leeds. Out and about this morning to find snow showers from blue sky. Clould seemed to follow some time after before clearing to blue sky and snow yet again. I guess this is to do with winds at clould or under clould level. Almost still at ground level. Perfect winter conditions. Simon S (Normally in frozen south yorkshire) |

Simon S (Normally in frozen south yorkshire) I got the same in sunny South Yorkshire, when I checked the overnight reading on my brand new ws ![]() frozen, and wasn't registering anything! Does anyone know how to stop this or is it something I'll have to live with In case you are wondering, no I'm not the Look North man, unfortunately! Mine generally only freezes up with heavy wet snow or freezing rain with little wind. I've squirted the outside with WD40, a water displacer, with some success in the past. The current one doesn't seem to freeze presumably because we haven't had the required conditions, it's the same as the previous one. -- Cheers Dave. Nr Garrigill, Cumbria. 421m ASL. |

Thanks for that, Dave. I'll just have to keep an eye out for it during the current conditions!
